Chamudei Shai on the Torah and Holidays began as a column and was developed into a book in thanksgiving and commemoration of Dr. Geliebter’s 70th birthday. This sefarim offer inspirational, original essays based on classical sources and commentaries of the Midrash, Talmud, Rishonim, and Achronim to gain further clarity, insights, and to explore important lessons for life. Volume III is on Vayikra and includes essays on the Four Parashiyos, Pesach, and Lag BaOmer. An added bonus is the inclusion of a Haggadah featuring commentary by the author and by the Maharal Tzintz, the Gaon of Plotzk.
About the Author
A Jewish scholar and clinical psychologist, Dr. Joseph Geliebter drew inspiration from his parents, both of whom were Holocaust survivors and who dedicated their lives to rebuilding Jewish life. Prior to the series of sefarim on the Torah and holidays, Dr. Geliebter wrote a weekly column under the name Chamudei Shai, in a scholarly and popular Israeli weekly periodical Machmadei HaTorah on the weekly Torah portion and holidays
